‘the world in general but the un-reached in particular’
Like many churches we place a high priority on missions. Jesus instructed us to ‘go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature’. Our missions’ focus at Heritage is ‘the world in general but the un-reached in particular.’ The main thrust and financial investment of our missions’ effort is directed toward the approximately 3 billion people in the world that have never heard the name of Jesus a single time. This is what we mean by ‘the un-reached in particular.’
Reaching the un-reached peoples of the world presents unique challenges. The remote locations and villages they inhabit contribute to them having never been reached. Inconvenient, uncomfortable, not too mention expensive and dangerous is all part of this kind of frontier evangelism. The challenges are great but the rewards are even greater.
Mass crusades coupled with village church plantings has proven to be an extremely effective approach to reaching those who have never heard. We support these efforts both physically and financially by sending people from our church and supporting our partners around the world.
